As a foreign national purchasing properties in Canada, do I have to pay tax for that?
If you are a tax resident in Canada (living in Canada for more than 6 months per year), you only need to pay the transfer tax and sales tax.
Is medical care in Vancouver free?
Medical care for BC residents is free. To apply for a BC medical card, the following conditions must be met:
1. Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or holding a study/ work permit valid for more than 6 months;
2. Have a valid Canadian address
3. During the year (between January 1 and December 31), have lived in BC for at least 6 months
